Adhesive Closure Options
We manufacture two types of adhesive closures for poly bags used for mailing or shipping: permanent or resealable.
Permanent Seal
Permanent adhesive is commonly employed when the contents of the bag are intended to remain sealed until the end user opens it. Once sealed, opening a plastic bag with a permanent adhesive lip will typically result in the destruction of the bag.
This type of adhesive is often used in mailer bags and shipping bags to ensure the security of the contents during transit.
Resealable Seal
A bag featuring a resealable adhesive lip allows for multiple openings and closures. However, the accumulation of dust, dirt, oil, and other particles on the resealable adhesive may eventually diminish its effectiveness, limiting the number of times it can be securely resealed.
Resealable bags are suitable for applications like internal file distribution, where multiple individuals may need to access or add to the contents over time. It’s important to note that resealable seals are not recommended for mailing or shipping applications.
